Database Application Specialist
Lemington Consulting is looking for a database application specialist to work on a project basis to assist in developing leading-edge software applications. We will consider well-qualified candidates who wish to work remotely. Job requirements include: - Extensive experience developing high quality database applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, Visual Basic, VBA, Microsoft Access (versions 2019 through 2000) and SQL Server (2017, 2016 and 2012)
- Experience in relational database design including schemas, normalization, indexing, replication, etc.
- Strong TSQL skills in both SQL Server and Microsoft Access
- Preference given to candidates that have passed the SQL Server Administration 70-764 and 70-765 Microsoft certification exams or SQL Server Development 70-761, 70-762, and 70-473 Microsoft certification exams
- Experience with Microsoft Office automation with Excel, Outlook, Word, Project and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with the automation of non-Office software such as QuckBooks would be helpful
- Database application integration with third-party (non-Microsoft) applications and legacy systems
- Microsoft certifications helpful
This is a non-entry level position. The candidate will need to possess the following qualities: - A high-level commitment to delivering quality work on a consistent basis
- The ability to consistently deliver work on time
- The ability to work with minimal supervision
- A strong desire to apply new technologies and methodologies to building leading-edge database applications and software solutions
- Good communications skills and a professional demeanor
We would prefer someone who can work on a 1099 basis, although we are willing to consider a direct hire. Certified .NET Developers
Lemington Consulting is looking for certified .NET developers with experience in developing .NET Windows and Web applications as well as Windows Services, Web Services, and Microsoft Office add-ins. Candidates with MCPD, MCSD, and MCAD certifications will be considered as will candidates that have .NET development experience and demonstrated progress towards achieving one of these certifications.
Job requirements include: - Proficiency in C# and/or VB.NET
- Strong SQL Server database development skills including T-SQL and CLR development
- Experience converting legacy applications based on Visual Basic 6.0 and C++
- Strong Visual Studio 2019 and Visual Studio 2017 skills
